Choosing a best man...

Just been told I'm not allowed 2  she had to narrow it down to one and so do I

Think that means it's going to be Mate B (I think you're right in saying that mate A would understand and not be offended), or sound out trusted family members about the potential fall-out of chosing a brother.

If she's going to start acting like that, are you sure you still want to get married?

Damn your not allowed 2, would have gone for brothers.

But my initial thought was (as will be for my wedding) if they cant be nice for your special day then they dont really deserve to be there.

She's not that bad really, I have given her a certain licence to be bridezilla - told her the big day is all about her and I'm only as big a part of it as the cake or the dress!

.

I had by bestest best mate as my Best man, he was awesome

My brother-in-law decided to have his bestest best mate as his best 'man'.
She just happened to be his lesbian friend from uni :D she looked awesome in full morning suit :D

You could buck tradition

Did she still cop off with cheif bridesmaid

i am in exactly the same situation (minus the inter family politics... although there still is a bit... there always is with families  )

ive asked brother 1 already, who, upon discussion, turned me down on the grounds of upsetting brother 2, so had the notion of them both there with me, but dad doing the speech... however that in itself raises issues... if you knew my dad, you would understand (ramble, ramble ramble.... 30minutes later, and everyone is asleep  )

wedding is at the end of september, so gotta get something sorted pronto

I chose my brother, easy and safe option.

I'm now fighting for a divorce, so er.......best of luck
