Yeah sorry, was looking at the GT stem and talking about the saracen. Very subtle reply, I was being a right plank, fair to say it is quite obvious that the saracen one is welded - doh!

Was after a solid one piece job, (billet?). So even thought the saracen looks pretty i'll give it a miss. Sorry for being a numpty!

no worries, to be honest my knowledge of all this stuff is so shakey and almost entirely based on the 'if it works it must be right' principle that I really wasn't sure if there was some special secret thing you were talking about
