ones been machined down a bit for use on an RD250?

Wow ^^^^ this boy is good.

I am mocking up an adapter to fit rear disc brakes on a proflex xp8 (the retro theme). Made one up then noticed disc rubbing and further investigation showed the disc itself was wobbling.

Since the disc cetnres are all black, the one on the right had been machined down, hence shiny centre plus if you look carefully, you can see that the centre projection is lower. Git on ebay did not mention this at all. :x

Anyways, made a spacer from 1.0 mm aluminium, a bit of Aluminium MIG wire to keep spacer centred due to undercut and all is well once more.

Not as pretty I know but would not be noticed greatly, for that 1mm couldn't you have used a gasket like a head gasket ? readily avaliable and easier to manipulate

maybe but the gasket material I have will compress mmore than aluminium, it wasn't too dificult to do using a nibbler to cut the hole, then file out hole to size, then use a pair of snips to cut the outsize, a bit of filing to tidy up.
