Wanted Cheapy square taper crankset (riveted fine) 22/32/42 (or similar)

I would like to put on my run around and thus don't want to spend much on it but really want to lower the gearing as 28 lowest is rough!

The bike only cost £20 to begin with so doesn't make sense to sink any considerable money into it.

However everything working fine on it even after being in the garage for 15+ years just wanna lower those gears!

Currently dealing with 28/28 as lowest and not fun on the slightest of inclines!

I've got a deore one, 104bcd so rings are easy to come by, though the rings on it are in good shape so no worries there. I can probably throw in a crank puller as well. £20 posted?

Not what I meant. I could have explained/asked better.

I meant that 104bcd means bigger chainrings than 64/58 style chainrings?

As in what is the smallest chainring you can get for a 104bcd?
64/58 is granny ring size on a triple.

104 / 94 refers to outer ring, and was the reference standard for 4 / 5 bolt

104 bcd 4 bolt triple crankset will have a 64 bcd for the inner ring, which you can get in a 22t.

The general common standards for mtb triples are:

110 bcd (5 arm with 74 bcd inner)
94 bcd (5 arm with 58 bcd inner)
104 bcd (4 arm with 64 bcd inner)

There are others obviously but these are the most common you'll find.
