In the advert.. the seller states frame has been resprayed..he bought it in good faith..
NOT a specialized frame..
That's his tuppence worth..
Is he right?

Looks like a Stumpjumper to me. The chain stays are nice and boxy. Maybe a repainted 1996?

The catalogue bikes didn't have them but some did get them IRL. I had one, this is a 1992:

The one on ebay is a '91, it has the noodle for the rear brake rather than the stop. Note is may still be a rockhopper, but theres no way to tell short of weighing the frame - the prestige stumpjumper will be lighter.
