Here is a close up of the main decal as requested...

The first pic is my old '96 Terratrax decal.

Gils decal is faithful to the actual Saracen logo with the sharp edges on the corners... on the '96 Terratrax decal you can see that it is a bit rounded off.

I really like the ones Gil did

I agree, Gil's sharper ones look the business. Looks as though you've carefully positioned them too as they match the position of the original to the mm from what I can see.

Here is a quick update of progress so far....

Now decided to go for all silver finishing kit to be in line with the look of the mid/late 90's Saracens.

Although this bike will be thoroughly modern [apart from the frame] I think the silver finishing kit and parts selected will really pay homage to the final glory days of Saracen Cycles before it all went pear shaped.

This is the parts list I have decided on:

Pace RC31 Carbon / Ti forks [or NOS RS Judy XC]
Shimano M770 XT Drivetrain
Shimano M770 XT V Brakes
Hope headset in silver
Hope Pro 3 hubs in silver
DT Rev' DB silver spokes / Mavic XC717 silver rims / Purple nipples
Ritchey z max tyres
Thomson Elite seatpost in silver [25.4 shim to 27.0]
Thomson X4 stem 130mm x 0 degree in silver
Pro 31.8 x 560mm silver bars [wide enough?]
Selle Italia SLR XP saddle
Shimano M520 pedals
Bar ends - not yet decided on brand... any suggestions?

Do you know if the Protrax ever came with those RS Judy forks originally?

As you know I have some NOS ones but I think the red decals are a bit of a clash with the purple frame.

I have the chioce of these or Pace RC31 Ti rigid forks.

What do you think?
