WoW! What a great thread and what a comeback you have given that Roberts.
I really like my tourers and your Roberts looks lovely when you first built it but looks a real beauty loaded up with it's bags. Nice looking setup and I take it that it was a great ride too.

Should have photo shopped that power bulge out.
At rest in Paris, rider enjoying a celebratory glass of bubbly.
It was a nice ride, only two issues;
Toe overlap on front wheel, which was a bit of an incinvenience on a couple of tough climbs.
A light front end which developed as a steering wobble when accelerating, probably needed a front pannier.

Both nice, but yours is in a different league in my opinion
Agree with nick, they are lovely but not quite as classy as the Roberts. The GB second and then the Holdsworth 
Toe overlap can be a pain sometimes but with myself being vertically challenged at just on 5'4'' you tend to just live with toe overlap being a possibility. Frames get smaller for shorties but the wheels stay 700 so on some bikes in some situations it's a real possibility. Even on my modern 26'' wheel tourer it can happen as long as you know when it can your fine, but I am sure you worked that out.
The front end issues as you say is just down to load but might not be an issue most of the time unless your fully loaded regularly. There is nothing more disconcerting than the front end misbehaving at speed when fully loaded.
