The Methlick Cycle Challenge is a 73mile ride for charidee :mrgreen: specifically the Royal British Legion Scotland (but you can print off a sponsorship form and raise funds for any charity you want).
Start is in Ballater and it winds it's way along the paths and trails of the Deeside Way and Buchan and Formatine Way to methlick, near Ellon.
The vast majority of the ride is off-road, on steady well surfaced trails, so you get nice scenery and no cars to contend with
Entry is £30, but remember it's all for charity plus you get a bacon butty at the start, water stops, and a barbecue at the finish.
If you look on the website I think I see a few "retro" bikes in the photos of last year's ride I'll probably ride my singlespeed clown bike as my only Retrobike is undergoing some upgrades at the moment.
Would be nice if a few of us macretro types were there, we might even be able to recruit some new macretro riders!
