Apart from used TA only a limited choice seems available.
Looking for square taper .
Sun xcd did made some nice 5 pin TA compatible ones a while back. I cannot find them any longer
Ideally 44/34 or smaller rings .Spa cycles sell some double touring ones that may do the job .

Anyone seen, bought anything else that may be suitable.
Running a 5 speed screw on freewheel wheel on a 1950s Carlton .
Thank you in advance.

If you can find the cranks then 86 BCD rings are fairly widely available, they go down to 26 tooth (IIRC) and up to 50+ all on the same BCD, you can run one, two, or three rings with the right bolts and spacers and BB on the same cranks.

I'm running Stronglight 49D 52/36 on the front on a Tange Seiki LN-3922 square taper spindle.
SunTour New Winner ultra-6 13-15-17-19-24-32 on the back - in 120 dropout.
SunTour Cyclone derailleurs front and back, GT on the back for 35 wrap.

Stronglight 49D is a very good 5 pin and the rings are TA Cyclotouriste which you can still get new: https://www.veloduo.co.uk/products/...50-4mm-80mm-pcd-alloy-chain-rings-inner-outer.
TA Cyclotouriste rings come in outer: 52-40 + inner: 42-26

Gives me 52/13 for downhill or flat and 36/32 for hills which is pretty low.

Also moving on a Williams double cottered c /s again it is over geared for me now .
Looks lovely on the bike but pedalling it is another thing.

When I have removed them from from their respective mounts I will list them in the components for sale thread .
