Chainring help - Shimano RSX compatible 46 tooth

My big chainring on my new Galaxy looks spectacularly worn now I've cleaned the crud off it, so two questions.
1. This is spectacularly worn, rather than some sort of clever tooth shape to help shifting, right? I can't find high-res enough pictures of the Shimano RSX triple/a similar looking/era hyperdrive to check that it's not supposed to look like that
2. Any thoughts on where to find an equivalently sized compatible chainring? It's 46 teeth (if I counted right - I'm not very well so may be mistaken) and I can't seem to find a reasonably priced replacement with the same/similar number of teeth that's compatible with 7 speed.

Apologies for the noob questions - I've never had to replace a chainring before and it seems to be much more complicated than necessary!

It doesn't look horribly worn to me - the shorter teeth are to aid shifting, although the ones at the top when the cranks are at 3 o'clock have seen better days. When spectacularly worn (great phrase) the tooth ends are sharp and the tooth takes on a shark fin shape.

However, if you want to change them, Stronglight Zicral rings from Spa Cycles are an excellent solution. You will need 110mm pcd.

Ditto, it does not look 'that' worn to me. The profiled teeth can look worn to the unannitiated but I always think a worn chanring looks very sharp on the tips of the teeth & the dips between them will look elongated & lose the semi-circular appearance. I am convinced that is fine (still)
