Chain Lube...

Someone help me here - I have been riding for 25 years and have yet to find the perfect chain lube. All of the suff I have tried over the years seems to make the chain sticky which attracts dust and sand forming the most effective abrasive paste known to man...

I have used melted wax with some success but its time consuming to apply. However the chain stays clean.

I have even considered just using a dry chain and seing how long it lasts!

Anybody have any favorites?

I always used 3 in 1 oil but I'm currently trying Finish Line Ceramic Wet Lube. They do a dry version as well.

i have been using the finish line ceramic dry lube, very impresssive for about 15 miles, then it seems to disappear and needs to be reapplied, have got through a whole bottle virtually in about a month, chain does stay cleanish though

My only advice with a new chain is not to apply anything and leave it with whatever they put on it from the factory for as long as possible.

Rock n roll lubes chap... erm.... rock,....

I had been using finish line for years before with great sucess , really liked it, but find the rock n roll lubes have the edge for less dirt attraction,, and smoother shifting for sure..

Rock 'n' Roll lubes are brilliant, use the blue extreme one for my MTB's and the red road one for my road bike. They also do something called cable magic which is ... erm ... works like magic on cables.

Vote number 3 for Roch n Roll, I use the "Extreme" one on everything.

:roll: :roll: looks like my secret is out.. it is brill.. highly recommended however a little expensive for qty.. but quality always costs
