I know chain lube discussions can be like religion for a lot of people. At Zero Frictiob Cycling it's a science. They test chains and lubrcants and publish the results.
They earn their living offering the best of these to racers. They call ZFC "where good lubricants go to die" because of how many popular brands fail their tests.
ZFC is excited about a new drip lubricant. Effetto Mariposa Flowerpower. It's fairly new.
The reason I'm posting this in Retrobike is because it produces extended component life in their testing. So if you have some irreplaceable vintage chain ring or cassette this might be worth looking into. I have no association with ZFC, Mariposa or anyone else for that matter. I'm just starting to put it on my bikes.
