Cassette problem !!!!!

I bolted a new Shimano HG70 11 to 28 th rear block onto my trusty old Shimano Deore XT (14G FM- M732) hub yesterday.

I have problems.

The cassette is loose.
The rings are rattling.
The shifting has gone to f**k.

I screwed in the lock ring TIGHT! really tight, with a two foot lever on the handle of my wrench but it's still loose.

The spacer is fitted.

Everything was clean before.

??

Please help.

Have a feeling te shimano 11t top may not be compatable with a 732. Or at the very least, the lockring must be matched to the sprocket. I've mixed lockrings by mistake before and had this problem. Being M732, I assume we're talking 7 speed.

Get your Dremel out or change the freehub.

right, so I need a 1mm spacer.
Where do i get one of thoise in a hurry?

Its nothing to do with the lockring.

You need one of these to make the cassette sit proud of the freehub body. this is what the lockring pushes against to stop the cassette from wobbling around..

The ally spacer would warp against the bolts/ rivet heads that hold the cassette together and you'd be left with a loose cassette again.
