26” wheel steel frame and fork retro MTB
51cm c to c seat tube ( 58.5cm c to c top tube)
A clever person on here thinks it might be a Ridgeback based on the distinctive square rear cable hanger but I’m not sure.
When you flick the tubes with your fingers it sounds butted but the only thing I can confirm it that it’s steel!
Stove enameled by a local firm a few years ago, and they did a pretty rubbish job. It’s gone rustry around the cable guides etc. It is tatty but very usable and can be left anywhere without attracting the wrong sort of attention.
Low profile Shimano cantis with Shimano XTR cartridge brake pads.
Shimano shorty brake levers with period grab on foam lever grips.
‘Strong’ brand alloy bars, steel period stem
Deore thumbshifters
6 speed rear freewheel
Shimano 200 GS front and rear mechs and (presumably) chainset. Biopace (yeah!) 28/38/48 rings
Chumky MKS flat pedals
Modern cartridge B/B
Sachs new success hubs with Wolber ‘Titanium light’ alloy rims (they’re not titanium!)
Schwalbe black jack 21.1 front tyre and 2.0 rear tyre
Surprisingly capable off road (but I would say that as I’ve only ever ridden rigid bikes off road), or a great shopping, pub or station bike (with less knobbly tyres perhaps)
how about £65 collected from Thame Oxfordshire or posted/ couriered at cost.
