... BTW in the meantime the a.m. 1993 Columbus EL Carrera-Tassoni has been finished with the late version of a C-Record groupset with Dual Pivor brakes and 2x8 speed Ergopower Shifter, Cinelli cockpit combo, a Selle Italia Flite Titanium and a pair MICHELIN Hi-Lite PRO on MAVIC SUP rims.

Pics of the 1998 Carrera Podium team bike. This one was ridden by Samuele Schiavina who had to retire after a crash on stage 4 of the Tour de France.

Construction is different from Bartoli's bike (link below) and is the work of Luciano Bracchi at Carrera. The bike ridden by Samuele Schiavina is the work of the Dario Pegoretti who built bikes for pro team from 1990 into 1997. Unlike Bartoli's frame which is alumunium, this frame is steel. Wheels were the ones used for the Paris-Roubaix race, per previous owner.

This is an interesting article from one of the Carrera owners. Dario Pegoretti built a "few' frames but they were also building pro bikes in-house. I assumed one builder would make all team bikes for the particular year. After reviewing the team photos I can only confirm this bike was built by Dario, the others (except for 2-3 which were too blurry) were built by Luciano Bracchi, although some do not appear to have the smooth welds of Bartoli's bike....possibly someone else.

Here are some pics. All original except the tyres which were cracked. Replaced with same colour tyres but will be swapped out shortly for black 25mm tyres. Weight is 18.5lb without the pedals as pictured.

Many thanks for your interesting comments but I think I already know this ASIC-CGA bike... it had been offered to me a few months ago by Jure, but it's a bit too big for me.
My 1993 precessor of the famous white blue Carrera-Tassoni bike bought also form Jure.

refer to your comment on the other hand Michele Bartoli used a version of Alumium - my knowledge is
from a former Carrera-Tassoni rider that the riders of Boifava's team had the choice of 3 bicycles per season between the steel made version and the
Aluminum frame set ... but this was in 1995

you are a collector only or you will ride the bike too? - not so much but ride it. I did both and have the intention to ride all my bikes especially
on a beautifull sunny nice day, mostly I ride in the corresponded Jersey to the bike. That's my other passion to have if possible an original jersey to the bicycle.

Thank you for sharing this information. I have spent sometime looking into the history of this bike and did not know the decision was made in 1995 for the 1998 bikes. Jure had listed it is as a Pegoretti and I wanted more confirmation. As part of the research I compared this frame to known pro frames confirmed to be Pegoretti built. Turns out one of these frames is Indurain’s 1994 frame. They both share the same seat tube lug, TIG weld size and brake bridge. Seeing this was initially surprising since the frames were 4 years apart by season but if Dario knew of orders in 1995 it makes sense on the similarity.

I have ridden the bike on a short ride and plan to ride this going forward. Planned changes are wider bars, wider tires and new saddle. I will keep everything I pull off to be able to return to team spec in the future.
