You cant beat a bit of Carlton. Do I see two different brake calipers?

Eagle eyed as always spokesmann  , I took the liberty of leaving on the GB Courier66 front caliper that were on this barn find, the rear is a weinmann 750 vannqueir, I sourced a matching front caliper, which I did put on, it's just the GB looks so much better on the bike, the weinmann front caliper had to come off.

I think I'm finally getting closer to the model and year, Continental from possibly 71 with an aftermarket rear centre pull braised on. If Carlton only did reynolds 531 with seatpost width of 27.2 im going to have to remove that 531 decal, it was on the bike when I got it so I had been hoping it was legit, alas width is dia is 26.4 or 27.0 at the most

The 26.4 might indicate plain gauge 531. Look down the seat tube with a flashlight (torch?) to see if there is a seam showing in the tube. If so, it's high tensile. If no seam, it's 531. Do the same on the fork steerer tube. Carlton frequently did 531 main tubes and high tensile stays and forks so that may be what you have. Regardless, the restoration is spectacular!
