Retro Newbie
Hi,
Since my mid-nineties GT Karakoram commuter bike died I've managed to acquire my father-in-law's 1980(ish) Carlton Grand Prix. It's been left outside for many years, so is in need of a full strip down, respray and re-build. All the shiny bits are now wire-wooled and Autosol'd, and the frame is stripped ready for the respray, but I can't find the decals. This is what it should look like when finished (minus the mudguards and with brown seat and bar tape):
I have discovered www.bicyclestickers.co.uk, but the ones they list for the GP are not the right ones. Does anyone know where I might look to find them? Failing that, I will have to resort to making them myself from silver & black vinyl wrap, white pinstripe tape, and some fancy printing for the writing (something like water transfer?) but a £20 set of decals would be a whoooole lot easier!
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Cheers, Dave
