Carlton Criterium

Spent a day cleaning the crit....all sparkly now, alloy polished, frame two coats of Mer after cleaning all little lug work edges, even scrubbed up the white walls despite having a new set of ambers to fit....couldn't resist! Picture to big to upload :( will sort it out on Photobucket tomorrow :)

Can't access photobucket on my mobile...pc down :( anyway got the tan hoods fitted and treated it to new cables whilst at it! And cleaned the alloy again ;)

Looks in good fettle , a job well done .

Is it just me , but why do vintage /steel bike appear to have more about them than a modern alloy / carbon machine. ;)

Seen a lot of riders with a mucky back the last few weeks because they cannot fit decent mudguards on their machine :!: :?:

Yes - looks very 'snappy' - the 'metallic paint' seems to hold up well - down here in the antipodes - metallic paint usually deteriorates in the cleaner air - similarly with human skin, house paint etc :- (
