Very, very nice.

I wonder if some of the transparent modelling paints might work to touch in the finish? Tamiya do transparent acrylics in primary colours and Alclad do custom candy colours that might work? Needs to be airbrushed though...

Yes I can entirely see your point. If this was a 1950s guitar then they would be called 'mojo' . Shows how much it was used and loved (and your efforts have restored the finish that remains really nicely)

Im a great believer in trying to keep as much original as possible. This machine has only had new tyres and tubes, new brake blocks, cables and chain. Basically all the bits they wear out. Ive added 'period' parts like long mudguards and Carradice saddle bag.

New chain and reflector fitted, just sorting out a gear lever boss now. Front wheel will ned a little truing at the LBS. You can see it carries a few chips and marks up close. A few revealing close ups!

I love these old Resilion large flange hubs...

I might use white for straps...

Ive used some graphics to cover up the chips and poor transitions from paint to chrome...

Undeniably attractive...

My other Constellation from c1958...

Carlton loved their chrome...
