Had this for a while. Finishing a light restoration on it. Not much needed doing. What do you think?

Nice :). Yours is an earlier one before Crespera lugs. My first ever proper bike..... lost a bit of colour though :)

Re:

I got it with no blue on it. There was some evidence of blue bu it’s now gone in The polishing. Went for abrooks B15 saddle and black bar tape with new decals. Going to change the red Carlton for gold and black though

Re:

Very nice . Always fancied a full chrome frame set in my size {231/5} .Carlton well known for their top quality finish back in the day. If looked after the chrome stood the test of time .

Re:

Cheers for the comments- just need to change the cable to black and lace the brooks saddle. I’ve not ridden it yet!

Hi
Hope you don't mind me joining this chat late. Ive just finished a refurb on my 1974 Carlton Cobra, could be a twin of the one shown, except for the brown bar tape and mine is a ten speed and originally had blue on the frame. Did they also make a 5 speed in blue as yours appears to be a 5 speed. I do like the flyer tape can you please tell me where you got it from?

Re:

Hi

I made the flyer tape from individual vinyl stripes cut by hand. I have changed it a bit. Looks like this now, black cables and gold/ Black Carlton decals
