This is my buddy's late 70s Carlton, minus wheels. He couldn't remember the model of frame but he knows it wasn't a complete bike when he bought it from EG Bates.

Used as a fixie for commuting up to ten years ago and then shoved in a shed without a wash ! We spent a night pulling out decent gear recently but after several beers couldnt be arsed to wash anything so it still has authentic East London road grolly on it.

Looks like a clubman as I had one like this back in 78

Yep, Looks like a Clubman. Lesser frames had the front fork light boss.

Also came in a fetching eau-de-nil. Looks like a SR chainset Fifty quid is a good price..

As an aside, some of you may recall I had a buddy run down in a hit and run last year. Well the physical scars are healed but he just cant face getting on a road bike again. This is one bike he knows he will never ride again.
