carbon mountain bike, 26" , "FIOCCO"

LOL:

Seller refused to let me know the collection address and cancelled the sale, relisting at a much higher price. It was doubly strange as the items were buy it now, not auction. The seller demanded (with much shouty-style text and exclamation marks) that I call them in person which I didn't want to do. I prefer to correspond through ebay messages which is what ebay recommends and that seems fair enough, I can make that choice if I want. I was refused the collection address and insulted in messages

Given the worrying and deranged series of messages I received from this seller I would not recommend anyone actually go to this person's house. In a bizarre exchange I was compared to a soviet spy because I said I would prefer to use ebay messages rather than telephone for correspondence. The seller refused to give the collection address despite it being collection only. I was called untrustworthy even though I have been on here for 10 years with 987 feedback and a 100% positive rating.

Just buy and and call the dude like he wants.
Offer to meet him at some public location

I have collection available on my stuff too, but I'm not really keen on people coming to my house, no.

This seller frequently has nice Ti bikes going for good prices. I politely messaged a while back about one and got back a very stroppy reply.

Even if it was next door with an 80% discount I wouldn't bother. Don't like the idea of riding something and being permanently reminded of an unsavoury transaction. Just IMO of course.

There are some mentally unstable people selling bikes on ebay for sure.

I had a very similar encounter to the above.

Thought this looked familiar....is this not the same bike that was for sale a while back by @toymotor? Was it this user or the friend for whom it is being sold, I wonder, who issued the rude responses?
