Caramba Crankset And Kooka Crankset

Hi, which crankset you perfer Caramba or Kooka? Cause i need ano crankset for my bike.

Surely you should be asking yourself, 'which crankset do i prefer', as its your bike :!:

Both were pretty cool cranks and were known to be fragile. Kooka had bigger production numbers, and more variety of colours.

If it we me it would come down whichever I could find at a reasonable price.

what caramba cranks? Kooka imho were made of cheese. Caramba double barrels were also prone to failure based on threads ive read. I have a nos set of caramba sidewinder cranks which look solid. I had another set which were used and seemed solid.

I think the sidewinders were fine.

The Double Barrels were inconsistent from what I read. Drilling those long bores along the length didn't always go well and they ended up thinner than planned in areas.

Good to know. I may brave de-nosing mine one day. Not through fear of them breaking, just they are nos and I've not had the balls.
