Canuk Feedback Thread

Bought some hubs and a derailleur. Honest product description, quick responses, and prompt, securely packed shipping. Can't complain, would buy again

Not quite same experience for me. Signed Hinault jersey advertised as unworn arrives sealed in a Royal Mail bag due to the two pieces of cardboard badly put together, acting as some king of replacement for a jiffy bag, felt apart. The packaging is apparently outside sellers control (?) and I apparently requested the cheapest postage costs (never did so, had no idea where seller is based, £8 seemed reasonable postage cost for UK to me.

The jersey itself is clearly heavily worn and marked. What looked to be some kind of white dust on the images posted is actually frayed surface, white threads being pulled from inside out. Unworn? Heavily worn and washed multiple times more likely. Had it shown to another forum member who concurs. Damaged in transit I'm told. Judge yourselves by images....

I can only advice Caveat Emptor and do not use bank transfer as I have done, believing members on here can amicably sort things out if any issues occur.

I gave the buyer a £20 refund. He demanded more, for an item clearly damaged in transit by the couriers. You might as well give the feckan stuff away for free when dealing with buyers like this. I've seen their type on eBay a dozen times before 'please can I have some money back', and then they ask for more, and i you can never do enough and they ALWAYS leave negative feedback. I would not sell to this buyer again, under any circumstances, or any payment method. I wouldn't even exchange goods with him face to face.

Photos of the jersey as shipped. Sellers beware.

I have sent a complete conversation to mods, let them see what is what. In the meantime do not post incorrect statements about what I aparently demanded etc. and throwing me in the same bag as whoever you had in mind.

I do give stuff away for free BTW, it's not all about money....that's why we have forums as this one.

EDIT:
1. You did not give me any refund and I never demanded more. You have merely refunded a difference in price between the two items - one was offered at £180 and other was advertised at £150. You refunded £20...go figure how your math works....
2. Item was not damaged in postage to the extent shown, I have plenty of proofs, including a second pair of forum members eyes
3. I would not call that postage, two pieces of cardboard stuck together by single line of flimsy tape, saving a mere £1 on a jiffy bag. Until received by buyer - Loss or damage in transit - is the trader's responsibility to ensure that goods are not lost or damaged in transit and/or to take out appropriate insurance.
4. I did not ask for any type of postage as you are accusing me, I was told by you that 'it will be send signed for and insured' which was accepted
5. You did not send it signed for and insured and now that there is an issue you are washing your hands off.

I think I gave enough explanation, which I can easily back up by attaching conversation details and images for fellow members to make up their own mind. I also refrained from using any unappropriated wording, unlike some.
