Cantilever Braze On - Which Pin Hole?

I have never fitted cantilever brakes before and wondered as the title states which pin hole do I choose?

It's an old cyclo cross frame that won't be cycle crossing again in my ownership.

Sorry...its a Frontiera lol...Reynolds 753 frame though made or renovated about 1987? for a Martin Smith, his name is on the bb, frame no 3059 I think from a bicycle shop in Carlisle Cumbria. Sorry not an exotic Italian machine but saying that from a very nice part of England.

Thank you....if I'm to be honest the only real frame I would like just to say I owned one is a sbdu 753 or 531sl.

Start in the middle hole. If it bottoms out, go to the lower, if the return is too weak, use the upper.
