Hi @bagpuss. I can see that you edited the original post 5 times in the space of just a few minutes. I have reverted back to the version which looks to me the most complete one. Obviously you can still edit it further if there's missing or incorrect info.

Got to love a huge-tubed cannondale tandem honestly a dale’ tandem looks awesome in person.

To say it is "Stiff" is a under statement .It is superb at holding its line . Up ,down etc no issues . Mtb wheels with Specialized Nimbus 26x1.5 tyres magic .Stick to the road . 50 mph downhill can make the cheeks flap a bit .
