Cannondale SM 2000 (1991) - just wanted to introduce myself

Hello everyone, finally i registered at this site, because a member of the german forum IBC* pointed me to one thread over here (*a site where i´m active since 2007). Because i found no special place to introduce myself, i will combine it with some pics of my Cannondale SM 2000 in absolutely mint condition. I´m the first owner of the bike, initially bought it to build myself a nice and light commuter bike for my transportational needs in Münster, but when this beauty was rolled out of the work shop half built up and the metallic glitter of the paint job dazzled my eyes it was almost instantaneously obvious, that this bike would never see a life as a "normal" street bike. :D One month later i bought a Specialized Hard Rock cruz for that purpose.

Now some pics:

edit, just noticed, that i almost totally forgot to tell you something about my person. I´m 42 years old and i (i guess like a lot of you folks) was infected by the MTB virus during my last years in school in the ending eighties. Another factor, which contributed to my affiliation with MTB and bike technologies in a broader sense, was the town where i lived from 1990 till 2004 - Münster, the unofficial german bicycle capital.

Welcome to rb!........stay awhile!......I'm guessing you are on the far side of six feet tall too!.....

Sweet ! Brightens up the start of the day just looking at it. That size really adds to the ' presence ' of the bike... bikes of such sizes are far & few from where i come from though.

Thanks for all your positive replies so far! Yep, i´m nearly 1,90 m tall, so this 22" frame fits me very well. I also want to underline that this bike has been given a "species-appropriate" existence (in spite of the prejudice, that C´dales like KLEINs are often only used to roll to the ice cream parlour :) ) The bike has several thousand kilometres behind it*, you can easily judge that from the faded day-glo toe straps.

*always with protective foil on the critical areas like downtube, chainstays, etc.
