Are all the headshock forks interchangable in the headshock type frames or not?
Thanks in advance.

Re:

They should be... Possibly some if the very oldest with curved blades might be different but anything from p-bones onwards should be.

Be aware that travel could be anywhere from 50mm to 80mm depending on model so don't upset the frame geometry too much if planning a swap.

Re:

92 and 93 curved blades needs bigger headset low cup.
But headtube diameter seems to be the same

Re:

Should be fine. Don't worry about travel, my '94 Delta V should have curved leg 50mm but I also ran straight leg 80mm ones while waiting on parts and the bike handled fine. Luckily the headset bearings were the same so it was a straight swap.
Only problem may be if you are running cantis, newer forks may not have a mount for a cable hanger.

Re:

Thanks chaps.

Looks like I will be getting a 2nd hand headshok to fit the V as everything else works out pricier. As i have Magura's they solve a lot of odd problems as well although it would be nice to have a disc front and Muagura rear.

I fitted a 98 headshok (forget which model) to my 93 dv900 which originally had curved blades.
Were the same size & had no problems.

All cups fit on all headshock frames
What I wanted to say is that the first curved 92-93 headshock got different bearings. The down part of the steerer was bigger.
In 93-94, 'dale change and up and down bearings are the same ;)

never changed the cups, just fitted the later model forks. granted the lower bearing was still attached to the fork. maybe this was the difference :D
