I know it’s been debated before but…any tips for Cannondale force 40 1st gen canti brakes set-up?

I want to keep the bike ‘stock’ so ditching them isn’t an option.

I followed the instructions (assuming these are for 1st gen?) and they work lovely. Both canti's come in together nicely and power and feel is good. From memory you have to crank the spring-strength up on one side. I guess like any good canti set-up you have to keep on top of it to keep them feeling good and not go out of the sweet-spot

I've found that setup is best when you have cantis with individual spring tension adjustment, not like Shimano with a single screw on one arm. Maybe not an option if you want to keep the bike original though.
Also seem to feel better with 'direct' brake levers, not Shimano Servo-Wave or Dia Compe style cam in the lever.

Note: My experience has mainly been with the Tektro Power Hanger https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/brakes/tektro-power-hanger-brake-enhancer-for-cantilever-brakes/ but operation is very similar.
