Cannondale Force 40 canti hangers?

Don't sjs sell a Tektro near clone of this? The Tekto Power Hanger???

Interestingly, as utahdog2003 and yourself have been talking about self energising brakes, and how Suntour prohibited a front version, well sjs cycles (Thorn) used to use a Force 40 on their tandems sometimes so that they could mount a SE rear canti on the back of the forks !

A Force 40 - said to increase power at the brake by 40% - driving a brake that was already not just to eleven but, by some accounts, at least twenty? Madness!

They always used to say that, back in the day...those crazy Cannondale folks. But I never experienced anything nearly describable as a 40% gain in power from the things. No concrete info on the matter, just a seat of the pants type thing, but they always just felt gooey and 'adequate' to me. They are neat little doodads though, and I'm glad I still have the complete set for my Beast, but I don't think I'll ever go back to them both front and rear.

And no, the Beast did NOT go to Oregon with me!

Imho the force 40 unit don't work good with my ergal Catagnino lever..
So i prefer to use a normal cable hanger with an half pipe

When fixing pipes on ceilings, roofs or roof structures it should be done with mild steel hangers.

Force40 is very cool but the first pulley system works very better and it's really easier for being adjusted.
And it's easier to make a restoration too

Always found it puzzling that you have a hard time finding them over there. I have 2 Cannondale dealers within 6km of me. If you go in to either one and ask for Force 40s, they'll ask you "How many ya need?". They're not cheap, though. I have 2 NOS ones in my Big Box of Brake Parts I bought for a project and changed my mind on that I can give you for cost+postage.
