cannondale f1000 1999???

Re:

Aargh, im a right quandry now, got all my lovely new parts to convert the dale to discs, now im not sure if i want too!
Its such a light free rolling bike the way it is. The wheelset on it is very light and so fast.

I may just have to buy another frame to put all these parts on.

Anyone got an 18 frame of a decent quality for around the 50 quid mark?

Begins?
That ship sailed some time ago.
There,s four bikes in the shed already and ive jyst picked up the rockhopper frame i won the other day to build up for my son!

Re:

If I hadn't found RetroBike, my 2 daughters wouldn't have such good bikes (Marin full suspension from 98-99) with Hope disc brakes and Hope hubbed wheels plus XT mechs etc. When I see the bikes (nowhere near the same quality) that other people buy new for more than what I built their bikes for, I know what I prefer to do. I'll bet most of the RetroBikers on here have wives and children with decent retro bikes instead of BSOs.

Re:

Absolutely right, the whole family can pick and choose between the dale, a spesh,a planetx, a kona and the proflex.its my good deed ;-)

Thats my excuse and im sticking to it, however ive only got room for five so its one in one out now.the dale stays and all the rest are fluid.

Spot on Coyote - Kiran's bike (my missus) is the pimpest thing I've ever built by a country mile, ti everywhere!
