A friend has asked me to find out if it is possible to replace the Headshock on his bike for an ordinary suspension fork. Is this possible? Has the geometry of the headshock frames changed as they evolved? What I mean is has the headshock increased the amount of travel it offers? I will find the age and model tomorrow.

Thanks.

yeah you can you just replace the headshock with a shim that converts it to standard fork sizing, had it on one of my older super v's worked fine.

Yes it is possible by getting some adaptor cups that decrease the 1.5" headtube size down to suit an 1 1/8" headset.
I have done this - I manufactured my own adapter cups and fitted them to my frame and it works a treat.

Thanks guys. I have forwarded this to him so hopefully he will join in. What sort of travel will he need to keep geometry about the same?
