Cannondale downtube bosses

Cannondale R600/CAAD2 1998. I have a number of old down tube shifter levers, Shimano, Sachs and Dia Compe. None of these fit the bosses which are covered by adaptors for STI cables. STIs are worn and I would like to go back to downtube shifters. Any know anything?

probably doesn’t help but just in case…
there are two thread standards used on downtube shifters. m5 x 0.7 pitch and pre-DIN standard simplex (and maybe huret) m5 x 1.0 pitch (i think)

maybr the screw thread?

otherwise downtube shifters need a close clearance on the boss. cable stops don’t. perhaps you need to scrape the paint from the bosses?

^ Read all of that thread before trying to prise the bosses off. You need the flat-backed mounts like the ones linked to on page 2 at SJS Cycles.
