I've just picked up a Cannondale Delta V2000 for the frame (I collect frames that encapsulate interesting FS ideas - it's going to be keeping a Proflex 950, Whyte PRST1 and a Schwinn S20 company) and will be striping it down over the next couple of weekends.
Everything is a bit grimy but first impressions are that it was lightly used but stored badly - I haven't seen any crash damage (dents, bends, scratches) but there is some rust on the steel hardware and the paint on the brake lever clamps is flaking off a bit.
Is there much appetite for decent components for "everyday" retro rides? It appears to be factory spec apart from the saddle, QR and rear tyre, and is missing the XYZ bar ends, so the parts I've got are:
M732 thumb shifters
M735 rear mech
M735 front mech
M734 cantis (original pads)
Hyperglide 13-30 cassette (TBC)
M735 pedals
Ritchey Logic cranks
Ritchey Logic brake levers
Ritchey Logic Force Directional seatpost
Hyperlite bars (uncut, black, Cannondale branded)
Wheels - XT hubs to Chinook CR16 rims, one decent condition Kevlar Smoke 2.1, one newer tyre (Schwalbe Rocket Ron)
I'll put some photos up once I've got the stuff off and cleaned up over the next weekend or two, but if in the meantime there is anyone in the Coventry or Bristol area who wants to look it over in the flesh and potentially take the components "as is" (i.e. so I don't have to clean everything) I'll do you a deal!
