Retro Newbie
Hi all, this is my first post on this site so apologies if it's not in the right place. I've just bought a new road bike so I might be selling my cannondale mountain bike / commuter. I bought it off ebay in 2003 off a bike mechanic from Bristol. I don't know if it's a Delta V or Killer V - it's a hardtail with headshock fork, size medium, and I seem to remember from the ebay advert that it's a 1994. It's painted a (I assume) non-standard metallic green with blue 'cannondale'lettering. It's been used for 7 years as a part-time commuter. Deore xt / xtr and some lx. Brakes are avid. Original headshok and forks. The headshock still works, albeit it was poor to begin with and it's obviously not got any better over 16 years. It's in good condition and is cleaned regularly. The last service was by Ken Fosters in Chorlton and was £110, about 4 months ago. I can't afford to keep two bikes but I've got no idea what this is worth - please could one of you kind folks advise and also where is the best place to sell. I'll upload some photos tomorrow.
Cheers
Russ

Here's the full spec, and I've uploaded some photos onto photobucket:
(next post as I need 2 posts before being able to post a link). I'd really appreciate some help from you guys letting me know what you think it's worth...

Brake levers: Avid Speed Dial 5
Shifters: Deore XT

Chainset: 3 ring Deore XT
Front shifter: Deore LX
Rear Shifter: Deore XT
Rear sprocket: 8 speed. sprocket and chain were replaced at the last service (approx 4 months ago)
BB: unknown
Seat post: no make alu-look alloy
Seat: Nisene sport
1 x bottle cage
no pedals
no grips

This has been a fantastic bike and it's taken nearly £2k's worth of bike to make me move (Cannondale Carbon Synapse 105 flat bar with lots of aftermarket carbon bits). I'd take other bikes out - ie new Bad Boy, Trek District etc and get back on this and think that this was better so no point changing. It's been a fast, reliable commuter. The brakes are fantastic, the gears never need adjusting, it all just works. I've had mudguards, lights and a thudbuster seat post on it - it's also been very comfy.

No idea, I was hoping that I'd get some help from the frequent visitors on this forum to give me some idea what it's worth. If no replies in a few day's I'll stick it on ebay and let the market decide the value. It's in Manchester by the way but I've got a bike box in work so posting is not an issue.
