cannondale coda cranks replacement

zpcar

Retro Newbie
hi, just broke the left coda 900 crank arm on my cannondale super v 4000 dh. it's impossible to find spare ones and i tried to replace the whole crankset with something (shimano etc...) readily available but nothing seems to fit. i'm devastated, any ideas what could fit? THANX

Do you have a pic? I have a coda chainset on my specialized fsr. Could be up for a change.

coda cranks

hi, thanx for the reply. no pic, sorry, totally computer illiterate (that's retro/old school for you) but if you could post your pic i could tell if it's any good. also the size (engraved on the inside of the arm, just above pedal bolt), mine is 175,0. if you want to see it, google image cannondale super v 4000 dh. or look in the 1997 catalogue on vintage cannondale or cannondale museum sites. THANX AGAIN

i could do with just the left arm, i think the drive one is ok, for now, if this means anythihg to you.

Magic Motorcycle Cranks. Have the splines failed? Very very hard to get hold of, a quick google search brought me back to a post on this site linking to ebay.

coda cranks

hi guys, thanx for your replies, just sent a private message to "old_banger" about having it made, but if it's going to cost silly money what am i to do (not rich yet i'm afraid)? tried some shimanos etc here in london shops but nothing fits because of the extra width of the rear. i did try adjusting it with spacers but then the chainring gets too far out and is not in line any more. i didn't go to any specialist guys yet, though (all closed over the holidays), just the evans cycles and cycle surgery high street kinda guys. they suggested i trow the bike away and get a new one, imagine! any input very much appreciated, haven't ridden in a week, starting to get rusty.
