Cannodale M500 (1993) - Max sus-fork travel

Hi

I've got my hands on some 2004 Marz-Bomber forks and I wanted some advice on whether they would be suitable for my old Cannondale M500.
It currently has entry R-S forks with 80mm travel. The Bombers have 100mm.

Any advice?

If the Bomber forks suit I'm thinking about putting the R-S forks on my 1993 Cindercone. I'm getting towards my 40s now and my eyeballs just can't take the pain anymore heading downhill on the bumpy stuff.
