Looking at the weld that appears to have somehow shrunk away from what it has been welded to and the bolts that have been drilled out to almost meet the bottom of the threads i would not trust anything about these cranks.
This isnt a case of a few units slipping through QA by spot testing say ten samples out of a batch of 1000. This small batch manufacturing so every item should be getting the full QA treatment and there certainly shoulldnt be poor design/machining errors like seen on those bolts.
I already have a hat to eat so i will say i expect failure to be high in various ways with these cranks. Shame because they look smart.
