Can you help identify this frame?

I am hoping the collective wisdom of RB can help identify this early 90's aluminium frame. It has been stripped and lacquered and fitted with a DX/XT mix, RM17 rims and a load of GT finishing kit.

It's a 19.5" frame with a 23.2" top tube
The frame number is T9201 3546 (Jan 1992?)
Welding seems very neat and it has a head tube gusset, which were not all that common at this time (I stand to be corrected here)
Straight wishbone seatstays with no hint of 'S' shaping
Riveted cable stops
28.4 mm seatpost
An unusual rear brake cable noodle around the seat tube
An unusual BB cable guide
1 1/8" headset
The bike is in NZ but it doesn't seem to be an Avanti or other local brand.

Any thoughts???

hi i picked up a frame last week with identical cable rooting lugs and i know mine is definitley of all things a holdsworth. although mine is not a t.bone at the rear end.have a search for holdsworth mtb

Holdsworth MTB were just cheap groupsets with Reynolds 500 tubing - there was never an aluminium frame with gussets and cable guides like this.

This is rather nicely put together and well finished

Holdsworth MTB of old, cant remember who the parent company were but Claud Butler had the glory whilst Emmelle and Holdsworth were kept at the cheap end.

I tell lies, here is what must be a VERY short lived model with MT-60 Deore - but still ABSOLUTELY unrelated to the New Zealand find above!

Retrobikeguy has got it. Nice work. Never realised Mt Shasta were GT. They didn't try too hard to hide it though, looking at this This now appears to be original spec. Almost. Anybody need some 7spd New Success gripshifts with lockout?
