Did they have a Sachs 'S' on the reverse? I can't remember.

It's a Sachs New Success hub:

It's a roadie group, don't touch it!
Brakes were made by Modolo, cranks by Campagnolo, hubs by Sachs.

Is this a quality hub? I purchased it on ebay thinking I got a great deal on a NOS white industries hub.

If it's a quality hub I may keep it, otherwise it will be going back to the seller.

It is a nice quality hub. The whole groupset is quality and the hubs are a highlight IMHO.
