On Ebay there are a few junior cassettes, the HG50 was a Tiagra / Sora / LX level in 7, 8 or 9 speed. Either 13 or 14 small sprocket.

I can't quite remember if there was an Ultegra level junior cassette.

You are correct & an alloy block so experimenting with the mill I have……

I used the remains of one to build a light weight 7 speed which I used for hilly time trials. The alloy inner from a Sprint, the steel outer shell and lock ring from a Compact and then whichever of the splined alloy sprockets that would fit in the right place on the outer. Got sold along with the wheels I used - Zeus 2000 titanium hubs, Mavic Monthlery Legere rims and Clement Seta tyres.
Another sale that I now regret but back then I never thought I'd be riding bikes again.
