As Jim mentioned, look for a two digit number on the hub. It’s been a while since I looked at one but it’ll say something like Sturmey Archer AW in the chromework, followed by a number like 75 or 7512. 75 will be the year (1975) and the 12 will be the month (December). It looks like it has its original wheel so this is the rough production date 👍

Soooo what does it say?
You can't not give the rest of us the answer as it looks pristine. :)

It's 2 79 on the hub so that's Feb 1979?? Is that right 👍 thanks again for the help it's a brilliant little app. And it's not bad for free then bike that is and it's not far off immaculate. This is the 3rd I've had and don't really have much to do 😂 to this one.

Wheels look original so hub date a great indicator of manufacturing year. Is there any numbers/letters stamped on the inside face of the non-drive side dropout? Looks like a great bike. Those small wheeled bikes are lovely to ride.
