Retro Newbie
Hi all, New to the forum and new to MTB's. I originally had a Kineses Maxlight mountain bike but broke it without even going out on it (Dont ask), and my mate had this frame which he thought was a pace (very old he has had it about 6 years) but started stripping the paint for re spray a few years ago but cant remember the model? I have re sprayed this myself black (the original colour) but was only testing and am now going do it pearl white, but i need to know know the frame model so i can get the right decals.

Just for the record everything on the bike if from the Kinesis so it is only the frame make/model that i am after (and if you have any better colours then please let me know)

6 years old is "modern", I think you have the wrong forum. ;)
16 years old would be more like it.

No idea what it is other than a large BMX at my best guess ?

Not a BMX, because it has vertical dropouts and gear cable stops and a mech hanger and it's the wrong shape. Not a Steelhead because it's not steel ;-)

Deffinately not a pace.

There was a imported far eastern frame that used to pop up on ebay quite a bit that had square tubes. Quite often saw them being stickered up as pace by people trying to make a few £££. Could be one of those. no idea how they rode or how well made they were but it certainly aint no pace im afraid.

I agree, defo not a pace, thats an insult to all Pace bikes LOL
That looks more like a Kona or Carrera stunt frame thingimibob Gee

Just to back up the not a Pace thing.
-Drop outs are wrong, no where near the clean simplicity of a Pace drop out.
-Rear triangle appears to be round tubing.
-No external butting on top and down tubes
-Non pace specific seat collar.

It isnt a Pace, but of the pace range it looks most like a RC250 or RC240 Geometry is and frame construction is wrong for a RC250T (trials) or RC240 (dual slalom-of which incredibly few were made.)

Sorry I can only tell you what I believe it isn and not actually help positively ID it.

Jerky is bang on with his comments on this one, it may be something some has made in his wood shed when he was bord with an hour to spare and a welder which did not work too well.

Just to add, please dont sticker it up as any of the pace models mentioned! I would hate to see it be sold to some poor unsuspecting person under a false ID.

It looks a nice enough bike, if I were you I would design a custom Logo for it then you have something that really is unique.
