can anyone recommend a stand for working on bikes?

If you're in the shed etc, I use two loops with hooks and eyes. One under saddle and other under stem. Allows everything to be adjusted/removal.

I use an Aldi branded work stand and its a durable piece of kit it may not be up to the rigours of commercial use but for a hobbyist it's great. well worth £25

Dutch bikes shops use this system too. Well the one under the central station did.

The Halfords one at £40 isn't bad. Really depends on how much you want to spend.
