The ‘53 mech, is there any means of telling the date of manufacture of these? Am guessing those serial number stamps, but am intrigued to know

Beyond me if there is. I'm just going off the date the bike which it came off was purchased. My uncle seems confident he bought it in 1953 second hand off a former pro in Preston. Everything on it is from around that time as he never used it much so everything remained original. That said I've just be trying to identify the vintage of the Brooks Professional saddle which was also on the bike when it was handed over to me and that appears to be date stamped '62.
