Has the freehub been swapped? I thought these were 8sp only

Hi,no the freewheel has not been changes, they are 9/10 and If the 11 fits on a ten speed hub, that is also compatable.

I hate to labour this but I also think these are 8sp only. Have you tried with anything larger?

It quite clearly states on the labelin the wheels that they are most definately not 8 speed. I sold a pair to a very happy bunny back in the summer, maybe he can confirm what speed they are !

That does look very much like a steel freehub body with shallow splines not the alloy one with deep splines needed for 9/10/11.

Does the "20" on the label mean 10 speed? Could it be these wheels have the Shimano compatible freehub body on if not the Campag 8?

Would've thought "20" would be the spoke count, as per shamals "12" and "16". I can't back this up as the images aren't showing on my fruit-based tablet :roll:

these are listed in the 98 catalogue with a 8sp version and a 9 sp version

Yes, the photos are far better than the ones I took. I just googled them and came up with the best ones.
