Campagnolo Record EPS 10 Speed Chainrings

I bought these chainrings recently to use on a Casati frame. They are 53-39 and came on lovely carbon Record cranks.
Unfortunately they have a slight gold finish which doesnt suit the rest of the build.
I presumed that this was an anodized finish but no luck so far trying to remove it with Caustic Soda.
Not ready to scrap them yet, any suggestions. Is this definitely an anodized finish?
I have put some Chorus chainrings on as a trial and think the plain aluminium finish is much nicer.( disregard stem and bars: they're junk!!)

They always seem to bubble so I suspect it's either plated or painted instead of anodised. Caustic soda is used in paint stripper.

After an hour in Caustic , a few more bubbles. Think i will just have to buy Chorus rings which are a plain aluminium finish to match the front and rear mechs. At least they are not new, anyone want to buy a 10 speed Record 53 chainring ( used, but not dipped on Caustic yet!)
