Campagnolo Hollow Axle QR 135mm(?) Possible Replacement?

Hello

I am not that familiar with Campag components as usually I just use Shimano.

I have a bought a bicycle which was built circa 1987 and uses the above component. Sadly the axle has snapped in half.

Do I have to find a vintage Campag replacement or can I use a modern equivalent in conjunction with the original Campag rear hub that I already have?

Thank you for any help.

I always found Shimano and campag had slightly different threads. Very close, but different. The cone will go on, but then it tightens beyond being a bit stiff. I successfully bodged an emergency repair by keeping on threading so it was cross threading but this will weaken the axle by twisting with each turn. Like I said, it worked but isn't ideal

Thanks for the info. It appears I will have to look at eBay, etc or there is a company called Wheels Manufacturing that has an axle that may be suitable though from one purchasers criticism its not perfect.

Is 135 the measurement across the locknuts or the total axle length. If it's the latter, I might have something can't quite remember

10 mm x 135 mm length campag thread available from many places, SJS for example. Even Weldtite do them. Somewhere like Mercian might actually have a Campag one?

Ok, I've found it. Measures 138mm and is stamped brev.campagnolo.
£10 plus £2 postage.
Just to let you know if you do want it, I'm not feeling great at the mo, so can't promise next day despatch
