Campagnolo front mech circlip advice needed

Nuovo Record is this one, but I guess they are same across the range....anyone has an idea what size this little bugger is? Or have a spare one?

They've probably never seen mechanical front derailleur, and couldn't comprehend its purpose anyway

I have a selection box of 'popular' sized E-clips (though who decides what is 'popular'?) and have tried a few. It's bigger than 3.2mm and smaller than 4.8mm. I've measured a Campag 7100008 as well as I can and reckon that its around 3.8mm but I can't get a caliper onto the shaft of the mech at the moment as it's still attached to a bike on my turbo. Either take the mech with you or buy an example or two in various sizes like 3.6, 3.8, 4.0 etc.

I've tried again this morning with the bike in a workshop stand. Unfortunately the combination of width and depth of the clip groove is such that I can't get a caliper deep enough in it to be able to measure the base diameter.
