Campagnolo Chainsets

An unusual lot for a traditional auction. I’d go and see in person or check that the nds crank is there! Looks like a couple of them are triples is that unusual in this era? Someone please educate me as to what they are, I know little about Campag of this age.

Did Campagnolo do that drilling and tapping into the arms for the inner, or was it a common uk job to force campag to succumb to the demands of the thermos-carrier?
This vintage is usually the RHS that breaks due to a massive stress riser at the base of the arm, starts like this: Screenshot_20241101-092845_Firefox.jpg
Ends like this:

Consequently, good looking cranks were often removed, but the shop owner couldn't bring him/herself to throw them in the scrap.
I know this for a FACT🤣

Caveat Emptor!

Thanks both! The one on the right of the photo looks like it has been drilled part way in to the fluting whereas the one you’ve posted @Foreigner is drilled after the fluting. It makes it look very much more like a modification, especially the larger step down. So @bikeworkshop is it the extra torque and being drilled in a less meaty part of the crank that causes the failure?

Been down a rabbit hole, don’t know why as I’m not going to buy them! From the collective wisdom of the interwebs, if it’s drilled in the fluting it’s not factory, if the fluting ends before the bolt for the chainring it is probably like that from the factory. Anyway hope someone after this sort of thing is nearby, that one at the top looks a lot like the one in the photo from @Foreigner which is on eBay for over £400!
